Peter Haglund

My name is Peter Christian Haglund and I was born April 7, 1985. I have been skateboarding ever since I was very young. I used my skateboard just for transportation. I always enjoyed skating because it felt like surfing and made it easier for me to imagine myself surfing. When I started progressing in surfing, my balance improved on a skateboard as well. When I was about 18 I got my first long board with a kick tail. After that I started skating the skate parks around my house in Orange County. One year later, during the summer of 2003, I was skating at a skate park and bumped into J.T. I have been skating a Poolking Skateboard ever since!!!!!!!!! I really enjoy skating long boards because I can have my own style (even though I look up to J.T. and Brad Edwards for their style). I simply skate for the love and the fun...... Oh,When you fall you know you’re alive…hopefully.
Besides skateboarding, I enjoy surfing, fishing, traveling, and anything to do with the outdoors! I was fortunate enough to live in Costa Rica for two years where I taught surf lessons for a hotel. There was no concrete in the town that I lived in so I couldn't skate for about 9 months at a time!!!! It almost drove me crazy. Without skating I had to find something to do with my afternoons. So I started working a lot on art, and then decided to airbrush t-shirts and sell them to the people visiting Costa Rica. My art work and t-shirts allowed me to fund enough money to come back to the states and start my own silk screening company called "illus ideas". I have now been back in the states for a year now, and skating hard ever since….And working harder surviving!!!!!!!!!
